Free Worm Composting for Beginners Class at the Moorestown Library – Wednesday, April 1, 2026 7p.m. – 8p.m.

Get ready to turn food scraps into garden gold! Join us for an introduction to vermicomposting, where you’ll learn how to set up a simple worm bin, what equipment you’ll need, and how to properly care for and feed your composting worms. We’ll also explore how to harvest and use worm castings and “worm tea” to enrich your soil and boost plant growth. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious about vermicomposting, this program will give you the tools to get started at home. Also during this program you will have a chance to meet the working worms of the Moorestown Library worm farm!

This program is presented by Sustainable Moorestown. Sustainable Moorestown is a volunteer organization who promotes the economic vitality, social equity, and environmental quality of Moorestown while acting as an Advisory Committee for the township. Through a diverse mix of projects and outreach initiatives focused on sustainability, Sustainable Moorestown works to develop ways to achieve prosperity while creating a long-term, sustainable environment for future generations.
