SAY it in PLAID!
Plaid Friday is a national campaign to support locally owned businesses during the Holidays.
Supporting locally owned businesses contributes to a community economically, socially, and environmentally. For every $100 spent in a local business, $68 returns to the community verses only $43 from the same amount spent in a national chain. Local merchants also contribute to the unique character of a town, enhancing the appeal of Main Street to residents while, at the same time, attracting other unique and diverse business. Studies show that locally owned businesses are highly vested in the community and support local community groups while also creating jobs and supporting a network of other community businesses. Sounds good to us!
So what do I have to do? It’s simple…. Just Wear Plaid – to the office, to school, while shopping, to the movies, wherever your day takes you, show the world how good you look in plaid. Head-to-toe, a favorite shirt, just a scarf – put it on as long as it’s plaid. Make it a family thing and have some fun while showing your support for Main Street.
Sustainable Moorestown will make it our business to support local business. How about you?
